The concept store EDWIN TOKYO HARAJUKU celebrated its 6th anniversary.
And EDWIN, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2021, started its 61st year this year.
Returning to the starting point, we once again focused on jeans and Japan's ancient aizome culture.
The concept store anniversary commemorative model is a hot topic every year.
This year's model is "HON-AIZOME".
Organic cotton Selvedge denim
Both warp and weft yarns are made of 100% organic cotton.
The fabric is woven slowly and carefully on an old-style shuttle loom, giving it a unique look with a bulky, three-dimensional feel.
HON-AIZOME
This fabric is dyed with natural indigo using a traditional method called kase (skein) dyeing, which produces a deep color fading different from that of ordinary rope dyeing.
Indigo dyeing has taken root in the culture of the common people of Japan since ancient times, and the delicate sensitivity of the Japanese people has allowed them to enjoy the subtly different shades of indigo, from the whitish "AIJIRO" to the blackish "TOMEKON" known as the "48 colors of indigo".
This limited-edition jeans is akso a representative indigo dyeing color of the early modern period.

Straight fit
Fit is the regular straight fit of the EDS series, the most popular in the concept store.
This refined silhouette has been improved to fit the modern body shape while retaining the ruggedness typical of jeans.
Limited design leather label
The 6th anniversary limited edition leather label with Hinomaru print is made of goatskin leather.
The unique grain of the goatskin leather will become more apparent as it ages, creating a unique look and feel.
